Hello, and welcome to my blog! If you’re reading this, chances are you fall into one of the following categories:
You’re grabbing a front row seat to the exciting, fun, and adventure-filled journey that awaits us in future blog posts. Stay tuned — I’m so glad you’re here!
The year is 2032 and you’re reading this post, so I can only imagine this means that this blog, endless scrolling, internet rabbit holes, and/or online stalking are still alive and well. Greetings from the past — I’m glad you’ve made it here as well!
The year is 2032 and you’re reading this post and also you’re me.
Hopefully the latter isn’t the case because I’d like to think that in 2032 I’ll have better things to do. But if you are me from the future, allow me to take you back for a moment: the year is 2022. We have too many plants and we’re walking 5 miles a day. We love baking, music, traveling, and discovering new foods and experiences. We haven’t yet travelled outside the US, but we have an ambitious goal to visit every country in the world before our inevitable demise. I can only hope that, in 2032, that day has not come yet. And only partially because it would be quite unlikely I accomplished such a goal in less than 10 years’ time.
So here’s the deal with this blog. This year I’m doing some refocusing. Specifically, I’m working on placing focus mainly on things that bring me joy or contribute to something that will bring me joy in the long term. I’m grappling with the idea of chasing my dreams instead of getting myself stuck in the sticky trap of complacency. I am going to see the things I want to see in this lifetime and do the things I want to do, and I’m not going to let anything stand in my way! I aim to cover as much ground as I can on this earth in the time that I have left. Hopefully this blog will exist through 2032 and beyond, documenting the travels and tastes and tries that I’ve experienced over the years.
Alright, so what can you expect to find here in the near future? Here are a few examples:
Stories of my travels, as well as some experiences and local adventures.
Accounts of flavors and food finds worldwide, from down the street to across the globe! And occasionally from right in my own kitchen.
Random writings, musings, and journals. I love to write, and I’m excited to be flexing my creative writing muscles again after some time!
General silliness.
Inspiration for your own adventures!
This blog is exciting and new. Come aboard — we’re expecting you!
